Is JEE Main Paper 2 compulsory for architecture? A. No, it is not but for colleges under JEE Main and JEE Advanced i.e. IITs & NITs accepts JEE score. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture is mandatory for admission to first year BArch.
However, there is one little thing that might make JEE Main (Paper-II) tougher to crack as compared to NATA and that is the number of participating colleges. The number of institutes accepting JEE Main scores for B. Arch admission is far less than the colleges which accept NATA scores for B. Arch admissions.

It has a drawing paper which requires you to analyse views (like bird’s eye view, ant’s eye view etc) ,It is tougher than JEE drawing paper. So JEE has tough maths. And NATA has tough online test. Drawing can be handled pretty well in both the exams, if you get the concept thoroughly.
IITs, NITs, SPA and only few other engineering colleges don’t accept NATA score.

Originally Answered: How difficult is a B. Arch course? It is not really a difficult course, it just requires a lot of hard work to be put into it. Also, the more interest you develop, the more you start involving yourself in it.
Arch one has to use a lot of drawing stuff, go for study tours and site visits which make B. Arch costly. Generally, B. Arch course charge 80-90k fee per semester and more studying stuff charge.

A score of about 220-250 is optimum for B. Arch paper. A good score of JEE Mains 2nd paper for B. Arch is around 200.

Tech admission process is on the basis of JEE Main score, and chances of getting admission are high for a percentile range of 60 to 70. Candidates will need to participate in the state-level counselling process to secure admission.
