When you create a seller account, you’ll need to add a payment method to pay for any eBay selling fees or charges. With a payment method set up, you don’t need to do anything—we’ll automatically charge the invoiced amount by the due date.
Ebay seller fees are high because they are a for profit business. However, they do offer breaks on the selling fees. The highest fees will be if you don’t own a store and have a longer handling time.
If you offer or reference your contact information or ask a buyer for their contact information in the context of buying or selling outside of eBay – opens in new window or tab, you’ll be charged a final value fee based on the total amount of the sale even if your item doesn’t sell.
Is an eBay Store worth it? Having an eBay Store won’t have a huge impact on your sales. In fact, unless you work hard on marketing your eBay Store, it might not bring in any new customers at all. But it can save you thousands of dollars in fees!
